Founder & Design Director A Graphic Design graduate from Universidad Iberoamericana, his distinguished professional career began in 1972. He founded Comunicreativa in 1982 and Sic Comunicación in 1992, establishing himself as the lead external designer for Mexico’s most prominent institutions, including the SEP, the Office of the President, Conacyt, UNAM, UAM, and the General Archive of the Nation.
Educational Innovation: Since 1990, he has designed dozens of free national textbooks for the SEP (History, Geography, Mathematics, Sciences, and Spanish). He coordinated the landmark 14-book Elementary Mathematics collection for the SEP and the Universal Geography Atlas for UNAM—an edition that remains in nationwide use today.
Awards & Distinctions: Honored with the prestigious Juan Pablos Award for Editorial Quality for his design work on Macrópolis magazine. He also directed the design of Conacyt's Ciencia y Desarrollo magazine for nearly a decade.
Technological Evolution: A pioneer in multimedia and transmedia publishing. His work has evolved from early historical facsimiles and interactive media to the creation of the BookOp© platform, incorporating virtual reality, video, and mobile applications engineered for the digital renewal of education.

Co-Founder & Editorial Production Director A Graphic Design graduate from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Xochimilco. In 1992, she partnered with Agustín Azuela to establish Chanti Editores, focusing her practice on specialized editorial design for public education, art, science communication, and children's literature.
Operations & Coordination: She commands project workflows, strict delivery timelines, graphic design, illustration, and high-resolution technical outputs for prepress.
Publishing Background: Since 1994, she has coordinated and designed dozens of official textbooks for the SEP across primary and secondary school tiers.
International Portfolio: Since 2001, she has directed the design of international children's media, managing projects for leading global brands such as Disney, Nickelodeon, and Encyclopaedia Britannica.

MARIANA ÁGUILA
International Creative Director
A bilingual Graphic Design graduate with honors from Universidad Iberoamericana, specializing in Branding. Her extensive visual background features advanced studies at the EFTI School of Photography (Madrid, Spain), the National Museum of San Carlos (Museum Studies), and Edumac (Digital Illustration). Her early conceptual talent earned her a place as a national finalist in the Senate of the Republic's Visual Design Competition.
Global Vision & Brand Management: She brings a robust corporate and institutional track record, having served as Graphic Design Manager at Hand Creative Design and lead designer for the Cozumel Foundation.
Editorial & Transmedia Background: Her history with Chanti Editores began within core editorial production and graphic layout, expanding her portfolio into large-scale architectural and audiovisual spaces—such as the wayfinding and signage system for the Neuchâtel corporate complex in Polanco, and title design for the short film Vale la pena.
International Leadership: As International Creative Director, she spearheads the firm’s aesthetic and identity strategy for the global marketplace. Her approach fuses honest design, precision typography, and specialized photography with the interactive digital narratives of the BookOp© platform.
